The Shine of Winter Light

Lyrics

Snow falls slow on rooftops tonight,
elves in windows glow soft in the light.
Reindeer tracks shimmer in a quiet line,
Let compassion shine… it’s Christmas time.

Jingle bells echo through the crowded street,
people rushing with warm hearts under frozen feet.
Up in the attic, old ornaments gleam
holding memories like a soft winter dream.

Some kids sleep safe by a shining tree,
others pray someone remembers: “Christmas is for me.”
From war-torn nights to lands without rain,
the season whispers healing through sorrow and pain.

Snowflakes fall different in every land
but they melt the same in a human hand.

One candle glowing in the coldest place
can still draw hope on a tired face.

A child once cried in a borrowed bed,
and the world learned love from the words He said.
Not power, not glory, not kingdoms of gold
but “peace on Earth,” whispered soft and bold.

And still today, in a restless world of noise,
that ancient story lifts its gentle voice:
that compassion is strength, mercy is real,
and love is the gift every soul can feel.

The wind may change from north to south,
but kindness speaks from every mouth.
Some bells ring loud, some softly chime
yet hope comes home right on time.

So let the bells ring on and raise your song,
let every voice feel where it belongs.
Let love stand tall when the night feels long
and let your heart sing a Christmas song.

Yeah…
Christmas is giving,
a hand worth holding,
a moment of mercy
in a world unfolding.

Across borders, across fear
we whisper:
“You’re not forgotten.
We’re with you this year.”

Stay humble.
Stay kind.
Hold someone close tonight.
